- Is responsible for preparing specialists of higher education studies at the specialties 381.1 Law
- Is responsible to prepare master students at the specialties from the 2nd cycle - 381.1.1 Public Law, 381.1.2 Economic Law and 381.1.3 Law and Customs Activity;
- Organizes and assures qualitative fulfillment of the lectures according to the study plans for all the specialties within the university at the 1st cycle and 2nd cycle;
- Assures with methodological materials the didactic-methodic process for all specialties where are being taught subjects with juridical profile (programs, methodical indications, texts, books etc.);
- Makes scientific research in the domain of law;
- Fulfills educational activities with students who study at TCUM;

The department’s theme of research: Legal and practical aspects concerning development of trade and consumer co-operatives – components of national economy.
